Room 223, Saturday Morning

After her amazing time at the dance the night before, Tara wanted nothing more than to sleep in, possibly for a decade or so.
Her body disagreed though, so it was still fairly early when she woke up and silently snagged a book from the floor next to her bed. She could read and wait for Kennedy; staying in bed gave her an excuse to keep grinning doofily at her girlfriend.
If she was waiting for anything beyond Kennedy waking up so they could maybe go get breakfast, she didn't know it yet.
[OOC: For ... three, please.]

Date: 2011-02-12 10:00 pm (UTC)Tara wasn't helping the situation, no. She shot Kennedy a helpless look; it wasn't that she'd ever put a lot of time into thinking about how they might or might not theoretically have kids in a decade, but it made sense for the one who wasn't a Slayer-in-training to be pregnant.
But apparently not. Hmmm.
"I mean," she said, to the children, "you were really smart and really brave to find us, even though we don't exactly know you just yet. What do your other moms call you?"

(It was something Uncle Giles did all the time, and he'd taken to imitating it even though he didn't know why Uncle Giles did it, and everybody thought it was adorable.) "'s me. An' my sister's Miraya Thalia Maclay."
"You don't call us by the whole thing 'less we're in trouble," Miraya put in.
Asher nodded, smiling sheepishly, and crept over to give Tara a hug. Miraya tended to instigate the trouble, more often than not, but he somehow managed to get into it right along with her.

And she had to stop and swallow hard, there. "They're kind of ours."
Just because she still wasn't ready for this, it didn't mean she didn't-- tentatively-- like the idea. You know. Someday.

Date: 2011-02-12 11:19 pm (UTC)She wriggled away a little to ask, "After breakfast, will you take me out to train? Please?"
"And can you bake with me?" Asher added, to Tara. "You usually do that or magic when they're out working out, 'cause once I went with them and my glasses almost got broken."
Miraya, looking guilty, said, "It was an accident and I was really little." Like, practically a whole year younger.

Date: 2011-02-12 11:26 pm (UTC)That was pretty cool, even if the 'Mommy' thing was still a complete head trip.
"Yes," she said quickly, ruffling Miraya's hair. "We'll hit the gym after breakfast, totally. And no broken glasses this time."
They had a little fighter and a little bookworm. Why was she somehow not surprised?

Date: 2011-02-13 01:15 am (UTC)Miraya looked rather pleased; she and Asher could still talk their mothers into things, and they hadn't even been born yet!
"I guess that leaves me and Miraya on cleanup duty, huh?"
Yes, she was actually volunteering to help do dishes.
