She hoped she hadn't forgotten to mention anything in the email as she finished packing up to leave the room. The party-throwing thing was new to her.

Hi,
Kennedy is turning 17 on Thursday, and the party will be this Friday (May 21). We'll be at Fast Eddie's around dinnertime. Call me or email back if you have questions or anything, but we'd love to see you!
This isn't a surprise party, so don't worry about spilling the beans to Kennedy. I can't keep a secret from her anyhow :-).

Is there anything you'd like us to bring/provide? Soda, food, cake, etc? Also...any idea about what Kennedy would like as a gift? My best guess right now is weapons and I'd like to narrow that down a bit?

Thanks for asking. The people at Fast Eddie's take care of most of the food and everything, but if you wanted to track down an amazing cake, you'd pretty much be my personal hero. I hadn't ordered one yet.
Weapons are definitely good for her. I'm not sure exactly what she already has (mainly because she, um, has a lot of everything) but if you could get something unique, like something from your home, she'd be really happy.
