Harpy B-3, Later Wednesday

After Tara had finished checking around the campfire and it seemed like everyone was back to normal -- or as normal as Fandom ever got, anyhow -- she slipped away and back to her bunk, where she lay on the cot, trying not to think about anything in particular. (She felt ashamed. And embarrassed. And a bit convinced she would never live this down, no matter what Raven and Karla said.)

The curtains were drawn shut and the light was off, but she'd probably let in anyone who made the effort to look for her. She could only avoid everyone for so long.

[OOC: For anyone who needs her, though she won't be much fun. And I am done spamming now.]

When Kennedy finally got back to the cabins after checking around the island on other people, she noticed the drawn curtain in Tara's alcove and headed straight over.

"Hey," she said quietly, knocking on the side of the partition. "You in there?"

Hopefully so, and hopefully visible, though one way or the other Kennedy just wanted to make sure she was all right.

Oh, thank god, she was visible again; Kennedy made sure to pull the curtain shut behind her before she came over to sit on the edge of the cot.

"If anybody has anything to say," she began, but stopped; Tara knew that tendency of hers pretty well by now. "I'm just glad you're okay."

She paused, then reached out a hand to Tara. "You are okay, right?"

"Not that I could see," Kennedy answered. "A little wigged, maybe, but not mad."

She watched for a moment, wondering if Tara was going to look at her; she kind of suspected not. "Guess I owe them one for finding you. I was worried." And a little freaked, yes.

"Hate you?" Kennedy was every bit as incredulous as she sounded; that was still a completely preposterous concept to her. "What would they hate you for? So you did a spell, it went a little wonky. Where's the big? Nobody got hurt."

It probably could have occurred to her that a year ago she wouldn't have been saying this, but it didn't.

"Hey, nobody gets everything right on the first try. I sure as hell don't," Kennedy noted with a self-effacing shrug; she had to concede she hadn't thought about people getting run over. Bumped into, knocked over, sure, but run over... "You made them invisible, not... one-eyed tentacled blob monsters. Relatively speaking, it's not bad."

"So I picked that at random," Kennedy blurted out, spreading her hands. "I'm just saying, it could have actually been bad, and it wasn't."

"And that's cool," Kennedy decided, and made a move to lie down beside her. It would be cramped, but... "Does it help if I tell you I still think you're awesome?"

"How can I not?" Kennedy asked, tracing her fingertips along Tara's arm. "What, you want me to explain it? You just are, and I love you for it."

"We could be here all night if I did," Kennedy said idly, and tilted her head to rest it lightly against Tara's. "Which you've got me for one way or another if you need me."

No innuendo at all this time, actually.

Kennedy laughed and curled a little closer. "Guess I'm not going anywhere, then."

And, you know, if anyone wanted to give Tara any crap about it, they'd just have to go through her.
