Harpy B3, Friday Morning

Tara was very busy Friday morning. She'd gone out early to get the latest editions of all the best magazines -- Seventeen, Star, and Tiger Beat. And now she was practically papering the walls of her alcove with torn-out photos of Zac Efron, the Jonas brothers, Justin Bieber, and -- her very favorites -- all the guys from the Dusk movies. Vampires were soooooo totally hot. She wouldn't mind if that one who used to be an underwear model wanted to nibble on her neck, nuh-uh.

After she was done, she'd probably go to the convenience store and magically trick the clerk into selling her beer. Why have powers if you never used them, right? It was a perfect day to get wasted on the beach. Maybe she could bring a big group of people and have a real kegger.

It was, in fact, pretty darn frosty in Hades.

[OOC: Mostly establishy, but open to cabinmates.]

"Can you keep it down over there?" Kennedy complained groggily from the next alcove. "God, Tara. It's before noon, nobody should be awake yet, much less doing anything."

"That would mean getting up," Kennedy protested-- just in a very calm and patient tone. "I don't even want to think about moving until about three in the afternoon. Besides, you know those vampire movies scare me, right?"

Kennedy frowned slightly and curled up into a tighter ball under her covers, because just the thought of vampires seriously freaked her out, but she sounded pleased. "Yeah? You would?"

"How can you be all blasé about it?" Kennedy asked, curling closer to Tara like she really needed the contact. "I mean, how does just thinking about them not make you want to run and hide in a maximum-security bunker?"

"Yes," Kennedy said with a little more conviction, because some things didn't change even if the underworld underwent cataclysmic climate change. "If she was a vampire, maybe... maybe. It's still pretty creepy though."

She snuggled up a little closer, hoping Tara wouldn't mind too much; she was just kind of clingy like that.

That part was fun, but it made Kennedy turn bright red and hide her face in her pillow with a nervous giggle.

As did any talk of anything being sexy. "I don't know if I'd go that far," she protested, voice muffled by the pillow. "Besides, I feel guilty just looking."

"You want to do what?" Kennedy couldn't help squirming into that touch, but when she raised her head from the pillow to look at Tara, incredulous, she was blushing fit to make a fire engine feel inadequate. There were other people in this cabin, and what if they even suspected what was going on in here? Just thinking about that was incredibly embarrassing.

"But that'd be... do you really think we should? What if we get in trouble?"

Hell was going to need to work on the Kelvin scale soon.

"I guess," Kennedy capitulated after several very long moments of looking around the alcove nervously and chewing on her lower lip. Someone might yell at her, and she didn't want that. "Are you sure we'll be okay? There could be a lot of people there."

Too many people were terrifying, okay?

"You're going to sing?" Kennedy asked hopefully, brightening. That might be enough motivation for her to risk crowds. "Okay, I guess. I can hide in a corner somewhere."

She looked incredibly embarrassed as she snuck a quick and still red-faced glance at Tara. "I just don't want people noticing me."

Not that she thought it was terribly likely.

Kennedy let out a long breath and relaxed just a tiny bit against her. "Okay," she said then, again, a little more firmly, "Okay. That's where they should be, anyway. Who wouldn't want to look at you?"

...some things didn't actually change, although the part where Kennedy was firmly convinced that someone better would come along and take Tara away any second now, and it was just a matter of when that happened? That had to do with drastic weather pattern shifts in hell.
